Mike is a teacher, coach and entrepreneur who founded Engesis LLC in 2008 and managed the business until the company was dissolved in 2010 upon Mike's retirement. Engesis LLC was a management consulting company whose core competency was creating high performance teams by mentoring leaders, implementing servant leadership precepts and shaping corporate culture. Engesis LLC was a focused, responsive, solution-oriented service provider dedicated to helping clients create a sustainable culture of leadership and performance excellence. Mike retired from Global Marketing Services (GMS) on December 31, 2007, where he served as Executive Vice President, Business / Leadership Development. In this role, Mike managed client and partner relationships, developed new business opportunities and created training and professional growth programs for GMS team members. Prior to assuming the role of Executive Vice President, he served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for GMS, being responsible for directing the company’s sales and marketing efforts in North America, Canada, Latin America, Mexico and Western Europe and Scandanavia. Mike earned a BS degree from Winona State University and a MA degree from Rowan University. He completed the "Managing Cross Cultural Relationships For Business Results Program" at the Thunderbird School of Global Management and the "Executive and Advanced Seminars" at the Buckley School of Public Speaking. Mike served in the U.S. Army and is a Viet Nam Veteran. He served on the Board of Directors of Operation At Ease, a non-profit 501c3 organization focused on providing military men and women who served in Iraq and Afghanistan with a complimentary R&R weekend in ST James Plantation / Oak Island.
