Aps4 - Aps6 It Midrange Application Developer
I was a developer as part of the Identity Matching team in the ATO where I specialised in data cleansing and standardising incoming data, prior to it being processed through the ATO's Identity Matching system. The application I used for this was IBM DataStage and QualityStage, where I developed scheduled jobs using PowerShell scripts to allow for end-to-end processing without manual intervention, as well as proving access and support to data analyst users who required Adhoc processing of unique datasets. I provided BAU support for the application and users, performing bug fixes and enhancements to existing jobs, rulesets and connections (Teradata and Cloudera Hadoop). The application is managed on 4 servers across Development, Testing, Production and Disaster Recovery environments where I also performed server monitoring and maintenance using PowerShell scripts. I performed regular software maintenance for aspects including fix packs and AVI updates using the ATO's Change and Release Management processes (this was also used for deploying newly developed projects/jobs).The development work performed was: - Parallel and Sequence Jobs for new data pipelines being developed for end-to-end processing of regular data ingestion. - A web user interface using Tomcat that allows for more straightforward access for users processing Adhoc jobs, with better exception handling and improved UX. - Migrating the application to new servers - Performing one-off data matching for evaluation to compare it with alternative processes.Types of data being uplifted: - Individual Name - Organisation Name - Address (Australian only) - Tax Identification Number (TFN, ABN, ACN) - Date of Birth - Phone numberI hosted monthly workshops with our data analyst users providing information about changes and current activities, also seeking feedback about current issues they are facing we can assist with.
