Transit And Programs Manager
CurrentThe Transit and Programs Manager manages the regional transit operation and oversee transit operations and programs integral to the City of Kelowna and regional government partners. The position is accountable for the success of the transit system and regional air quality function from a financial, customer, and public satisfaction perspective.Oversee a team of staff, working in a highly collaborative environment alongside all City departments.Manage the safe and efficient operation of conventional and paratransit transit services, including all necessary administration with BC Transit and the operating company, including management of budgets and operating agreements.Manage customer feedback including management of the security, communication and advertising, customer service enhancements, innovation.Advise and share information with the public and senior municipal, regional and provincial levels of government, transit operating company management, and other stakeholders to influence and direct investment and policy decisions.Oversee development of transit plans and delivery of projects including transit amenities, service levels, marketing strategies and asset management.Liaise with the Regional Board and Kelowna Regional Transit system partner communities evaluating possible actions, making considered decisions, recommendations and influencing actions, and policy and plans.Oversee the Regional Air Quality Program managing development and delivery of a comprehensive Air Quality program including air quality and climate change activities, plans and programs.
