My position contributed to a number of key functions that related directly to Ausbuild's business model:- Business development support – housing designs / options- Evolution of future standard housing ranges- Housing market research – design and trend focused- Sales support - housing conceptsOn a day-to-day basis, my critical tasks included:- Providing the Research & Development Committee with concept plans, facades and new construction methods- Managing an Assistant Housing Designer, including mentoring her further career development, assigning and overseeing her day-to-day tasks and projects- Conceptualising and producing Ausbuild's 'Refined Living Collection', which involved the designing of more than 60 single and double storey homes, more than 200 facade choices, and more than 300 home options- Working with the sales team to create personalised home designs for clients, either as a custom project build, or to suit site-specific land- Working strongly and cohesively across inter-departments, to provide the necessary advice or design concepts to meet the business' need- Assisting and conducting market research to gather relevant knowledge on changing housing trends- Working with the marketing team to produce point of sale material, renders and floorplans
