I was working on Gateshead Go Work Live.Gateshead Go, Work, Live is a programme funded by Gateshead Council.I provided wraparound support for economically inactive Gateshead residents by providing an individually tailored programme of interventions to overcome barriers to labour market participation.Overarching ObjectiveTo actively support economically inactive participants through the following activities :-• employability coaching, mentoring and guidance;• engagement with the benefits system;• accessing and achieving basic skills in English;• engaging with mainstream health support services; • engaging with appropriate community groupsParticipants will be supported to progress towards or into employment, including sustaining employment for 6 months using BASE model.

I worked on the Making a Difference program covering Newcastle, Northumberland then predominantly Wallsend, NorthShields and Killingworth.During my time on program I effectively engaged with a range of participants so that all members of the community could access support including the unemployed and economically inactive as well as the nuerodivergent, refugees and 50 plus.On program I identified that there was a need for meaningful support to be offered to the participants who were in the 50 plus category, this is a group that has been identified by DWP as requiring urgent support. So by working collaboratively with the 50+ champions and the Employer Advisers at DWP successfully created and delivered a bespke 8 week employability program which was workshop focused.These workshops were delivered across multiple Jobcentre Plus areas. I achieved 80% retention and engagement during the workshops and 50% of those who accessed my support moved into sustained paid employment. I received amazing feedback from all concerned including participants, peers, managers and staff at JCP including the 50+ champions, Employer advisers and Jobcentre managers.

I worked on a program called DiversityNE which is joint funded by ESF and the North of Tyne Combined Authority covering Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland.My role is to promote DiversityNE to jobcentre staff and other referral partners in the catchment areas, I process the referrals through a process of capturing eligibility in line with the funder’s guidelines and to gauge if a referral is suitable for DiversityNE.If a participant is suitable then my responsibilities were to signup, capture and record the eligibility evidence in line with the funder’s guidelines, utilizing our database and creating a paper-based file.I am also responsible for carrying out a profiling assessment via the use of Do it Profiler which looks to gather information identifying a participant’s barriers, so providing the information needed to provide a bespoke service to the participants needs as well as providing supportive and informative resources. This information is also used to assist in the creation of an Initial Action Plan.If they are not suitable then I will advise on an alternative support package which may include liaising and referring to health and social providers as well as referring to partner organizations and alternative provisions which may be more suitable for the participant's needs.I was also responsible for providing a weekly report to senior management at DWP providing information on referral numbers and capturing any trends for those referrals that are not suitable in order to identify any further training that may be needed.During my time with DiversityNE I was solely responsible for bringing in excess of 460 referrals from DWP and partner organizations, I carried out in excess of 350 suitability assessments and signed up 160 clients onto program. Out of that number approx. 30% of program case load moved into sustained employment as well as other clients moving into training and improving their job seeking skills.

This is achieved by delivering a person-centred approach that empowers participants to identify their strengths and acknowledge their own barriers through a process of individual assessments that look at a clients wellbeing as well as their education and employment achievements, followed on by an empathetic approach that is tailored to their needs and aspirations.

I was employed as a Job Coach on the Move on Tyne and wear program covering Newcastle and North Tyneside. I delivered one to one support in the community on the Pathways program which is tailored to provide specific support for those who experience neurodiverse barriers.I was responsible for the suitability and assessing a client's needs through the utilisation of the Do it Profiler tool which working with my participants we agreed on an initial action plan utilising SMART targets. I delivered bespoke one to some support covering areas such as managing anxiety, vocational profiling, CV-building, effective job search and application as well as interview preparation and preparation for the workplace. Other areas covered were positive disclosure, reasonable adjustments and Access to work.An important part of my role was to present effective Information, advice and guidance utilising my networking skills and extensive knowledge and experience to empower my participants to access appropriate support from partner organisations and external providers.

The workshops were tailored to deliver support for participants who experienced a variety of neurodiverse barriers in a safe structured environment.I was responsible for registering participants as well as assessing their needs through the use of the Do it profiler assessment tool.I also delivered workshops on anxiety management, vocational profiling, CV-building, effective job search and application as well as interview preparation.
