  Employed by Tropel, a wholly owned subsidiary of Corning. Employed within a small, diverse/well educated group of engineers in the design, development, and deployment of various non-contact optical, diode LASER based, high-precision metrology tools (functional unit of less than 1 micron). The primary domestic & international markets I worked throughout to represent the Engineering support of the department involved providing real-time direct to Engineers actively using tooling half a globe away. This alone requires the use of many mediums and means of communication, cooperation, and employing direct yet encouraging feedback and instructions as to how to preform complex machine tool tasks. These tasks included preforming analysis of blanks or exposed sets of circuit patterns exposed onto photolithography masks, microelectronic circuit-board manufacturing, raw LCD panels, and other high-precision (high dollar value) incredibly unique devices, tools, and luxury products. I worked directly with each of Tropel's metrology tools including the Flat-master, Ultra-flat, and the R&D project "Light Gauge". These products allowed me to interact with many client's from international market's. Doing so provided me with first-hand experience in the logistics & importance of well designed packaging, shipping constraints (slack time), and the importance of monitoring the progress of a precision metrology tool (logistics & freight shipping), some individual units can be valued in the multi-million dollar range and require unique attention and care when shipping into/through volatile shipping sectors or unique political environments.
