Wrote and maintained SOP’s, job process sheets and other safety documentation.Coordinated and supervised installation of ThermoMagnetic Processing System (TMPS)

Oct 2018 - Present

Energy Coupled To Matter Ceramics Scientist

Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, United States

Established, integrated and developed key components of Energy Coupled to Matter (ECM) laboratory to support ECM Key Campaign Initiative (KCI), a program designed to explore and exploit field-matter interactions in the field as well as in the processing environment.Applied expertise in solid state physics to guide alternative processing methods (spark plasma sintering [SPS], flash sintering, single mode microwave (SMMW), magnetic field processing etc.) to Army relevant materials such as B4C, TiB2 SiC and blended mixtures.Electromagnetically characterized samples using AC and DC magnetization, resistivity, impedance spectroscopy and other such techniques to determine baseline properties, potential coupling mechanisms and post processing enhancements. Expanded and maintained energy coupled to matter (ECM) laboratory equipment and supplies. Wrote and maintained standard operating procedures (SOPs) and related documentation in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Procured, managed and maintained a High Energy Laser (HEL) system as part of a directed energy (DE) research system conforming to current and future requirements. Designed experiments and analyzed experimental results integrating lab equipment and diagnostics tools with the aid of Matlab, Origin, Labview and other related software.Supervised, reviewed and guided equipment specifications and contract terms related to the procurement and installation of the ThermoMagnetic Processing System (TMPS): a unique processing system that combines the ability to apply a 9 Tesla magnetic field over a large volume that can be simultaneously heated to 2000 °C under an applied load of 2200 psi.Analyzed the utility of state of the art physics based models, including ALEGRA and COMSOL, as related to ECM and DE. Participated in 6.1 and 6.2 research proposal cycles designed to exploit novel designs and fabrication methods.
