Oversee daily financial operations of this San Fernando Valley Jewish Day School, which serves 300 students from two years of age through 8th grade. This includes direct participation in all bookkeeping, accounting and tuition management activities. Responsible for the compilation and monitoring of the annual operating budget and internal audit, as well as for payroll, employee benefits and human resources management. Liaison to the finance/audit and tuition assistance committees.

Analyzed the agency's accounting infrastructure, recommended and implemented improvements, established workflow protocols and standards, worked with employees to assure future compliance with new procedures.

Responsible for all daily operations of the Center. Directly responsible for the accounting, registration/billing, financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting functions, as well as all HR and payroll functions. Primary point of contact for outside providers of IT services and providers of proprietary software products and services. Managed logistics for events of all sizes, and was available and used on a daily basis by program department heads for administrative and logistical assistance.

Constructed and managed a $50 million annual operating budget, consisting of more than 200 individual program and support budgets. Analyzed actual vs. budget comparisons and reported such analysis to the CFO, CEO and Board Finance Committee. Also responsible for providing department heads and other end-users with financial and statistical data which enabled non-finance professionals with meaningful information from which better decisions could be made. Through 21 years of growth within the organization, I was given responsibility for providing tools and in-service training to staff at every level. For nearly 10 years, managed front- and back-of-house operations for a 900 seat concert hall and several smaller performance spaces, and directed box office, registration and customer service functions and staff.
