Michael is a Master of Economics student at Monash Business School, with a focus on development and policy economics. Passionate about how economics can be utilised as a social science to make an impact on the world, he is currently being trained in statistical software packages R and STATA to conduct econometric analysis for policy evaluation and recommendation. As part of his coursework, he completed a year-long thesis assessing the drivers of low wage growth in the Australian economy. Through his experience spanning customer facing roles, charity work, leadership roles in clubs, and an internship in the Strategy & Operations department of SaaS start-up Mr Yum (now merged with Me&U), Michael has a demonstrated history of collaboration, research, analysis, and communication. In his spare time, Michael enjoys playing piano and making music, which serves a great foundation to be open-minded, creative and think critically in the field of public policy. He loves connecting with fellow economists across the industry and others who share a passion for it, so do not hesitate to reach out!
