I started here as the first full-time software engineer, tasked with whatever it took to get the startup off the ground. This included setting up version control, writing glue scripts, building installers and of course developing software. These days I'm primarily an image processing and graphics bit twiddler. We use OpenGL and the GLSL (OpenGL Shading Language) to do GPU accelerated image processing and rendering. Recently I constructed an image filtering pipeline for our iOS products that allows us to open very large images yet have real-time performance when adjusting sliders, etc. This involved lots of CoreImage and CoreGraphics study and experimentation.In 2016 I built a non-destructive image editing pipeline that has become the basis of our Photo RAW product. All effects applied to an image, or series of images, is done such that the original image remains untouched. Because of the non-destructive nature of our effect filters, an entire filter graph may be copy/pasted between images as a method of applying image effects.I am currently a full-time telecommuter working from the Madison, WI area.

Wearing many hats I became involved with building browser plugins, print drivers, image compression and image scaling software. I often specialized in getting code squeezed into places it wasn't before. Oh, and making it all work. :-)
