Tried to mount a project to bring solar power to Zanzibar during the Coronavirus crisis

Mze Consulting was founded to cover the ensemble of my consulting activities. Currently activities include:1. Supporting Italian design/engineering/architectural firm, Cotefa International Limited, to set up a free zone company in Masdar City, including inter-shareholder arrangements and construction contracts;2. Providing consulting support to major UAE-based educational institution and family-based private equity fund in their expansion into Africa, including joint-venture, ABC, KYC and general corporate and commercial matters;3. Assisting Ghanaian bespoke clothes designer, Giselle by Nana, to structure its business and negotiate investment terms with local investors; and4. Acting as Strategic Adviser to Songhai Advisory, a consultancy providing country risk analysis, reputational/integrity due diligence and bespoke strategic support to companies seeking to invest in one of the 14 Sub-Saharan countries Songhai's 60 consultants cover (particularly Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Kenya).

Corporate legal department, providing legal support for spot and long-term LNG purchases and strategic projects (e.g. NSRP (Vietnam) refinery financing)

Assisted Gasol (AIM-listed ) to re-define its strategy and assess liquefaction (LNG) opportunities in Nigeria, including analyzing and establishing economic model for liquefaction plant and related upstream, project strategy and partner selection, commercial arrangements

Tasked with developing equity positions in LNG projects with the intention of securing LNG quantities for the EDF Group. Also negotiated EDF's first farmin to a block in the UK North Sea as well as EDF's entry into the South Stream gas pipeline with Gazprom and ENI.

9 lawyers, Natural Gas, M&A and contruction contracts. Responsible for negotiating and providing all legal support for EDF's highly-successful disposal program (over $3.5 billion) throughout Latin America (Argentina, Brazil and Mexico), Europe and the Middle East.

Provided legal support for LNG and local natural gas sales and marketing from Bontang Plant to buyers in Japan, Kogas and CPC in conjunction with other gas suppliers, Pertamina and BPMigas. Also supported negotiation of project finance issues and upstream operations (bidding for and negotiating PSCs, related JOAs, package documents and pipeline agreements)

Provision of legal support for Total's global E&P business development (Canada for oil sands project, Venezuelan pipelines) and Gas & Power project development (e.g. Bang Bo IPP, gas-fired combined-cycle 350 MW Power Plant). Also acted as secretary to the Yemen LNG Board of Directors and supported Total's LNG operations in Qatar

Responsible for providing legal support and negotiating over $500 million in contracts for the provision of rolling stock (trains) to U.S. Customers. Highlights include the sale to Amtrak of the Acela high-speed train (Boston to Washington D.C.) and acquisitions of Amerail (manufacturing) and GRS (signaling).

Provided support to partners engaged in M&A activities throughout Europe and on the Paris Stock Exchange. Drafting of SPAs, NDAs, legal memoranda and extensive legal translations.
