Executive Director of the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) in Indianapolis, Indiana. Assumed current role July, 2016, following service as Associate Executive Director that began June 2005. NIAAA initiatives have increased membership to over 12,000 over the past 15 years. NIAAA first gained Cognia accreditation becoming the first association globally to be so recognized. Publisher of Interscholastic Athletic Administration (IAA) professional magazine. NIAAA co-hosts annual National Athletic Directors Conference. Work alongside numerous NIAAA leadership groups, volunteers, partners and professional entities. Professional Development Academy consists of curriculum of over 50 courses within Leadership Training Institute, 6 levels of Certification, NIAAA U - cohort studies, and additional educational initiatives. Among editors of textbook, NIAAA's Guide to Interscholastic Athletic Administration. 28 years at Northwestern (Indiana) High School as athletic administrator and assistant principal responsible for athletics. Led program of 70 athletic teams and over 100 coaches. Emphasis on high participation rate, multi-sport participation and academic-athlete recognition programs.Involved with NIAAA since 1977 as Publications Committee member, chairman and vice chair; as a national conference presenter, author, association’s first strategic plan committee, instructor, moderator, State Liaison, facilitator, Conference Advisory Committee and state liaison. Served as president and secretary of the IIAAA, totaling 15 years of service on Board of Directors. Service on Executive Committee and Board of Directors’ of state high school athletic association, serving as vice-chair and vice president, respectively.
