I possess a strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and work with others as a team. I am results oriented and strive to enhance the environment around me while working within the set framework presented. I began my career in Mechanical Design as a Fixture Designer within the automotive industry for 5 years. As a Fixture Designer, I learned how to complete my tasks in conjunction with ISO 9001 standards. The ISO 9001 work environment taught me QA / QC processes, structured design processes and gave me a view of structured project management. As a CSWP and holding a minor in Engineering Design Graphics Technology, I have 5 years of extensive SolidWorks Premium experience, primarily with part, assembly, surface modeling and generating 2D drawings. As I pursued my CSWP and minor, I received training with SolidWorks Simulation (FEA Analysis) and SolidWorks administrative duties.My experience as a Fixture Designer gave me a benefit of opportunities to be hands-on with training new designers and learning how to communicate with clientele. I became proficient at interpreting GD&T and implementing what is being conveyed to design. I developed the important skills to be viable in the cradle-to-grave process of a design and build project from a design standpoint. I have experience interacting and communicating with other departments during the build phase. Listening is one of my strengths as I was able to apply what feedback or concerns I received from other departments to rectify issues and become a better designer. I am currently employed in the Civil Engineering field and continuing to learn about developing communities. I am involved in sidewalk, public park, parking lot, and pavement design. I am proficient in Microstation and currently learning AutoCAD Civil 3D. I have learned how to develop and execute construction contracts amongst municipalities and contractors. I have gained experience in the process of cost estimation of projects and developing bid manuals for projects.My background is diverse, and I look forward to the opportunity to grow as a professional. I am looking forward to continuing to make connections and learning about others.
