Working in the sustainability field assisting projects teams, architects and engineers to make the correct and necessary design decisions for a more sustainable and better working and living environment. This was achieved through computer simulations, using accurate 3D computer models, in various programs such as Autodesk’s Ecotect, Design Builder, Google SketchUp and IES. Actual weather data was used to simulates the environment in which the structure/building/home will exist and from which we can access vital information at an the early design stage. Energy usage/requirement, annual/peak heating and cooling requirements, thermal comfort, associated heat loads, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), incident solar radiation, daylight harvesting and glare analysis are just some of the analysed areas.
