A system capable of smart control of curtains and air conditioning in a home was designed and a prototype was constructed. The prototype system designed was fully functional and capable of performing maintenance of environmental conditions in a home. It allowed control of curtains with a small continuous rotational servo, allowed for control of a heat or air conditioning unit represented by a control signal and provided simple user interface to any web enabled device on the local network.The goal of the system is to provide smart control of environmental conditions in a household. This involves having a user login to a device to change environmental conditions into the desired range. The device is IP based with access to a simple user interface through a network connected device. The interface has the information display simplified and altered for additional display information. Settings available for alteration are temperature, season, and automatic system control. When automatic control of the system is disabled, manual control of the curtains is enabled.
