DueNorth BioDev is focused on advancing personalized medicine by improving patient care through the testing, In-licensing and development of prospective biomarkers. DueNorth will develop an infrastructure supportive of technological innovation and the commercialization of products focusing on biotechnology applications in state of the art research in cancer and allied areas. Collaboration with provincial Universities and the National Research council of Canada (NRC) are key relationships. DueNorth will provide Genomic and Proteomic testing to the community while we conduct our own clinical trials and future commercialization of cancer biomarkers (a biological molecule in blood, other body fluids or tissues that points to a condition or disease and that can serve to see how well the body might respond to a treatment). Biomarker development is a crucial step in personalized medicine leading to new therapies in cancer and life threatening illnesses.
