I am a project manager and senior geotechnical engineer with more than 30 years’ experience. I earned my professional engineer’s license in Missouri in 1993 and have since become registered in Arkansas, California, Oregon and Tennessee. While I have worked as a consultant for the majority of my career, I spent five years working for the City of Chesterfield. This gives me a unique set of experiences, both from the perspective of the owner and the consultant. During my career, I have worked with and for major private and public sector clients including Boeing, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), U. S. Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), along with state and local governments. The largest design project of my career was as the project manager and lead geotechnical designer for raising Lake Fort Smith dam from 60 to 200 feet. Another notable project was the walking inspection of 278 miles of Mississippi River levee in 2010 for USACE.I work on projects all over the United States as a part of the St. Louis office from my remote office south of Nashville, Tennessee. Specifically, I manage projects or serve as a technical expert for projects from our St. Louis, Missouri; Portland, Oregon; Sacramento, California, and Los Angeles, California offices. I am now partially retired and am only working part time for Shannon & Wilson, Inc.
