I am a Board-Certified Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist at MedVet Cincinnati, where I have been part of the medical teams since 2018. I graduated Cum Laude from Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, TN, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. After completing my undergraduate studies, I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in Knoxville, TN. After veterinary school, I completed a yearlong rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery and a yearlong Internal Medicine internship at the Regional Institute for Veterinary Emergencies and Referrals in Chattanooga, TN. I then returned to the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, where I completed a three-year Internal Medicine residency.I am an author and co-author of scientific articles in various veterinary publications, including the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery, the Veterinary Journal, and the Journal of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care. I am interested in all aspects of small animal Internal Medicine and have focused interests in minimally-invasive procedures, endourology, endoscopy, chronic enteropathies, and diabetes. I perform clinical research through the MedVet Clinical Studies department and participate daily in the training of Internal Medicine residents and rotating house officers, as well as senior veterinary students.
