Mike was responsible for managing several different portfolio strategies designed to help client investments based on their risk tolerance. He was able to layer options strategies over several of the portfolios to help increase returns while at the same time reducing overall risk. Options proficiency brought a hedge fund type of strategy to the retail client and became a differentiating factor during his time at the firm.

Mike was a senior support representative for REDI, an electronic trading platform, where he trained users on how best to use the software to manage their fund strategies, relying on his expertise in Equity and Options trading. REDI purchased the InstaQuote trading platform in 2014 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch and his job function remained was similar within the merged company's software.

Mike was in charge of facilitating Equity, Options and Futures transactions for clients using the InstaQuote trading software while also advising money managers and traders on how to most efficiently use the trading platform to meet their needs.

Arbitex was a $1.4 Billion hedge fund under the Hunt Financial Ventures umbrella and Mike's job was to capture the intra-day volatility of the underlying equities within the portfolio. In addition to equity trading, he was also tasked with using options and futures to create hedged positions on current holdings as part of the fund's overall strategy.
