Groove Cannabis Co Inc. is my foray back into the retail game except this time I'm selling cannabis! At Groove we are inspired by many things, but the similarities and connection between music and marijuana are at our core. The rhythm or “groove” of a great tune can lift spirits, reduce stress, inspire creativity, and even provide comfort. The same can also be said about great cannabis. We recognize that our industry is new and that as retailers, we must provide a safe and reliable environment for the sale of cannabis. The security of our communities begins with the responsible use of cannabis and it is up to us to spearhead that agenda. We have taken great effort to validate our procedures in order to deliver an outstanding consumer experience that is safe, informative, and pleasing. Directly managed all aspects of the menswear division including strategic planning, merchandising, human resources, purchasing etc.Helped expand the chain from 12 locations to 25 effectively more than doubling sales through both the acquisition of existing stores and opening of new stores. Negotiated leases, new acquisitions, and other contracts. Worked hand in hand with contractors during build out or renovation stages. Established working relationships with local communities to help build the brand at new locations. Helped manage the integration of new acquisitions into our corporate structure.Implemented and currently manage the company's IT department from it's inception in 1989. Oversaw the roll out of all corporate technology including four back office based P.O.S.systems, computerization of all accounting functions, and development of an e-commerce site.
