As a PhD student in the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences, my expertise in combining multidisciplinary methods to develop and validate tools for clinical uses. With my experience in medical imaging, pre-clinical biological models, and advanced quantitative methods, I can perform the necessary steps to cross the translational gaps to bring biomarkers into clinical practice. I have a deep interest in the physics and biological aspects of cancer and its therapy, stemming from my first research experiences in the Department of Physics at the University of Washington, but I am even more driven by the potential impact that developing these tools can have to lessen the burden of patients throughout the management of their disease, from early detection to measuring treatment responses.As a basketball coach with Boroughmuir Blaze and BasketballScotland, I've employed empirical methods for fostering young athlete leadership, development, and growth on and off the court. I've dedicated over two years to guiding U14, U16, and U18 teams, emphasizing skill development and competitive excellence. My experiences over the past several years as a PhD Student and coach create a synergistic effect as I enhance my own communication and leadership skills.
