My 34 years of law enforcement experience has given me the opportunity to work in a multitude of criminal fields including past and a current position as a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and a State of Illinois Certified Instructor at the Chicago Police Education and Training Division. I possess several certifications for specific technology instruction through the State of Illinois. After an on duty critical injury, I found a need to serve and help other officers who also have been critically injured with one on one support. This led to the establishment of the “Police Survivors,” of which I am a past President. This organization served officers throughout the State of Illinois as they recover from life threatening injuries. My personal experience has been crafted into a lecture to provide recruits with real life mental survival skills. Currently, my duties and financial decisions here at the pension fund have to be calculated and carefully considered as I take this responsibility very seriously to protect the members interest when pension and investment issues arise.
