Post-Redevelopment & Economic Development Strategy• Develop and implement strategies to assist businesses in SSF through various programs, including financial incentives.• Oversee implementation of Property Assessment Clean Energy (PACE) program, including marketing, targeting industry sectors and property owners, and liaising with lenders.• Negotiate real estate agreements for commercial projects on City property, (Costco and Pet Club); collaborate with real estate professionals to locate biotechnology, food manufacturing and retail companies in SSF. • Facilitate communication between various departments in local government, chambers of commerce, other economic development organizations, and the business community. • Organize city sponsorships at biotechnology conferences (i.e., the Bio International Convention, Cal Bio, China Bio in Shanghai and Personalized Medicine conferences with SFSU), Biotech Career Fairs, “Meet the Consultants” forums with Team CA, and retail conferences. • Develop customized corporate training programs for manufacturing and telecommunications firms located in CA; currently initiating training programs with the “BayBio” Biotechnology Institute and the CA Community College System biotechnology education programs.Land Use Planning Project Management• Managed the SSF General Plan update from 1997-99, the SSF Housing Element update in 2002, and the Fresno County General Plan update in 1996-97.• Managed the Genentech Ten-Year Facilities Master Plan Update on the 200-acre campus and the development of the 1 million sf Gateway Master Plan biotechnology campus project, both in SSF• Managed SSF BART Transit Village Project to construct 180-units and 24,000 sf retail at El Camino Real and McLellan Drive in 2004; managed the El Camino Real/Chestnut Area Plan, comprising 1,200 residential units, a new library, and 60,000 sf retail on 14 acres, in 2011.
