Village Holdings is a Real Estate development firm formed to provide the acquisition, and development of targeted properties to build out the Dimentia Village Town Square concept of the George G. Glenner Alzheimer Family Centers. The concept is based on reminiscent therapy for Alzheimer patients where their memories from age 18-35 are more vivid during a time when a person is coming of age and starting their families and careers. The concept is a village inside a building with various functioning storefronts from a pet store, diner, movie theatre, garage, beauty/barber shop etc. The Glenner organization has been providing Alzheimer day care services for over 30 years and will be leasing built out Dimentia Villages within a building from Village Holdings in various locations throughout the country. The focus is providing a place where care givers can get a respite from the 24/7 job of caring for their loved one at a reasonable price while also providing a reminiscent experience for the Alzheimer patient in a town square/village setting from a bygone era.

Responsibilities included executive management role in overseeing planning, finance and accounting, human resources and legal while leading the team that supported the sales process through contract administration and negotiations. In addition, worked with the board to raise capital and sell the company to Golden Gate Capital where the company was merged into Ecometry a Golden Gate Capital portfolio company and the name was changed to Escalate Retail Systems. Remained on in capacity as CFO and was instrumental in helping transform the Company from $31 million with a negative EBITDA of $4.1 million to a company generating $55.0 million in Revenue and EBITDA of $11.6 million. Integrated four companies (GERS, Ecometry, Blue Martini and ADS ) that had been previously purchased but not integrated and had leadership role to implement significant structural and process changes to ensure timely, accurate and transparent financial reporting while also incorporating sound business principles returning the company to profitability while improving customer satisfaction.

My responsibilities included executive leadership role overseeing all financial and various operational aspects of the company. Drove budgeting and planning, tax planning, human resources, legal and contract management and negotiations. Co-led the management buy-out from General Electric driving the company from $11.0 million to $57.0 million in revenues while turning around an $800,000 operating loss into $4.5 million operating profit and increasing shareholder value from $7.0 million to $50.0 million culminating in the sale of the company three times over the years to various Private Equity Partners with varying increases in shareholder value. Was a board member from 1990-1997after buyout from General Electric (GE) . Subsequently worked closely with the various private equity partners that invested in the company including Summit Partners, Symphony Technology Corp and Golden Gate Capital.
