Inpatient Pharmacy Services Supervisor • Responsible for evening shift pharmacy operation which includes supervising six pharmacists and four technicians• Manage pharmacist and technician daily work schedule • Perform yearly evaluation of pharmacy staff and manage staff development • Conduct staff meetings regarding clinical and operational protocols, goals and objectives • Conduct new employee orientation and train new staff members on operations, policies and procedures• Identify potential projects and assist the Director of Pharmacy with the implementation process • Assist the Director of Pharmacy in the preparation of policy and procedure documents • Ensure USP 797 compliance • Administer yearly clean room competency and maintain compliance logs • Ensure medications are dispensed per protocol • Approve non-formulary medication requests by evaluating patient specific information, clinical necessity, product availability and cost of the medication• Respond to clinical questions from doctors, nurses and pharmacy staff • Identify and resolve narcotic discrepancies• Perform nursing unit floor inspections to ensure compliance with Joint Commission and pharmacy standards

Research Pharmacist • Review clinical trial protocols and determine feasibility for pharmacy department • Correspond with study sponsor to ensure all requirements are met• Train pharmacists on proper dispensing procedures for each active clinical trial•. Receive study drug shipments and maintain drug inventories
