I worked at Eastern Instruments in Wilmington, NC, from September 2020 through March 2023 and from August 1991 through December 1999. My supervisor was Ressie Cavenaugh, Plant Manager and Technical Support, 910-463-8551 or 910-392-2490, cavenaugh@easterninstruments.com.• I was administrative assistant / secretary to the president.• I did all the purchasing using E2 ERP software, tracked the orders to ensure they were received on schedule, and ensured that E2 allocated the inventory to the appropriate jobs.• I tracked customer orders to ensure they were shipped on schedule, and invoiced them via E2 in a timely manner.• I verified that our service techs’ expense reports matched their receipts, invoiced the customer via E2, and sent the customer a PDF of the trip report.• I maintained all records of the devices we built and serviced, both in Access and in hard copy.• I ensured that we were compliant with all external vetting services such as Avetta and IS Networld, I wrote the Health and Safety Requirements manual, and I coordinated and conducted the monthly safety meetings.• I edited our Quality Assurance Program manual and modified our actual procedures to ensure they matched up, in order to land the Intel contract.• I assisted with mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and painting when we were shorthanded or working on a tight deadline.• In January 2023 the company added shipping and receiving to my duties.• I fully documented all my duties so that, if I was absent for any reason (such as Covid), anyone could easily take my place.• In August 1991 through December 1999, my job responsibilities were Administrative Assistant to the President, Purchasing Manager, Accounts Receivable Manager, Inside Sales, Technical Editor, and Webmaster. I also answered the phone, ran errands, and repaired the copy machine.
