Program Associate - Bureau For Humanitarian Assistance
Current● Administer programmatic and administrative support to the humanitarian crisis in Syria for 40 International and Local Non-Governmental Organizations ((L)INGOs) and United Nations (UN) agencies to administer twelve-to-eighteen-month complex international humanitarian assistance projects totaling $793M to vulnerable communities in eligible governorates and districts. ● Provide feedback on emerging disasters involving earthquakes, cholera outbreaks, political instability, relationships between Syrian Arab Republic Government (SARG) and rebel forces, cross-border access, and opportunities for resilience programs. ● Synthesize and pinpoint data from the Syria team’s Third-Party Monitoring (TPM) contractor to identify trends and notable issues regarding program progress to be taken into consideration when administering annual performance reviews for partners. ● Input sensitive and unclassified award details, proposals, modifications, budgets, M&E methodology, sector breakdowns, commodity details, partner reporting and correspondence, and sub-partner awardee information into shared tracking spreadsheets and USAID’s award tracking system, Abacus. Draft, update, and prepare issues letters, memos, waivers, briefings, presentations, emails, declarations, and partner meeting notes for senior team members and office wide utilization. Maintain and update the google suite shared drive for the Syria team and greater bureau to efficiently record all transactions and documentations. ● Track and convey all correspondence from HQ and field programming, TPQ, and RISK teams via email regarding risk mitigation plans and reports of diversion from partners to broader team leadership, technical specialists, and Syria’s Acting Risk Management Advisor (RIMA) for situational awareness, input, and time sensitive action.
