  The focus of my practice has been complex civil litigation -- both at the trial and appellate court level. A substantial portion of my practice has involved litigating on behalf of pharmaceutical and biotech companies, including numerous technology and product licensing disputes. I have also represented a global e-commerce company in various high-profile actions, including the defense of class action lawsuits. In addition to representing companies, I have also represented various governmental bodies in complex constitutional and statutory disputes, including state and municipal redistricting litigation, and matters relating to pension reform legislation. In short, during the course of my twenty-one year law practice, I have litigated a broad range of complex civil matters, including contract and licensing disputes, trade secret disputes, complex tort claims, class action disputes, various unfair competition-related disputes, antitrust matters, shareholder/partnership disputes and various statutory and constitutional claims.I have also counseled companies and universities in connection with their technology licensing strategy and monetization of their intellectual property portfolio. In this role, I have served as the chief outside legal representative of a mid-sized biotech company in connection with their technology licensing strategy, and negotiations with third parties (including a number of international-based deals).
