My role is business development and oversight of the rapidly growing enterprises.Botanical Trading/Pioneer Gardens are global growers and sellers of very high quality perennial plants. Pioneer Gardens propagates perennial field-grown bare root and greenhouse plugs to wholesale growers and finishers throughout North America.Botanical Trading makes a global market in unique herbaceous cultivars, including liliums, forcing and landscape bulbs, callas, crocosmias, daffodils, dahlias,.. more. We identify, trial and produce plants with unique characteristics for introduction to the North American trade.We are a founding member of GardenChoice™: an alliance bringing novel genetics to the world market. The four member of the alliance are:Eason Horticultural Resources (EHR), an independent full-service brokerBotanical Trading Company (BTC), an independent “box store grower specialist” representing flower bulbs and herbaceous perennials from some of the world’s best plant breedersPioneer Gardens (PGI), an independent grower of bare-root and liner-produced herbaceous perennialsGardenGenetics (G2), an independent plant breeding company responsible for many of the top-performing annuals, perennials, and shrubs in US garden centers

Leader of an ongoing project to accession and label all plants at Longwood. Consultant to the process of emergency management, volunteer program management. Developer and instructor of Longwood's advanced leadership development seminar series.

Assessment and consulting on cyber security, especially control systems for continuous process industries. Also teach leadership to all manner of organizations.

Developed "Protected Enterprise" approach to managing cyber security and risk. Consulted with companies worldwide.

Michael had a distinguished 34-year career at the DuPont Company, beginning in 1967 as a programmer at the corporate headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware.Following programming and analysis assignments in several DuPont operating units, he joined DuPont Fibers in 1970 and developed Fibers' online Management Information System and order entry systems, supervised development of inventory control and distribution application systems and systems technical planning and support, in Wilmington and Camden, SC.From 1980 to 1985 he was Manager of Technical Services of DuPont International (Geneva, Switzerland), responsible for information technology planning, development, and support for Europe, Mid East, and Africa.From 1990-2001, he was Chief Information Officer of Mexico, Latin America, and South America.

Responsible for cyber security, privacy, and disaster recovery of DuPont worldwide.
