I have 17 years of dedicated service as a Firefighter for the City of Corona, and have been a pioneering force in integrating advanced technology into public safety operations. Initiating the department's drone program in 2019, I expanded it from four drones and pilots to a robust fleet of 11 drones and seven licensed pilots, along with a COA that allows basic flight operations by department personnel with specialized training. A self-taught ATAK Subject Matter Expert, I have had the opportunity to work with developers to help evolve this platform from a military-focused tool to a versatile asset for public safety. I see ATAK as a transformative tool, amalgamating vast geospatial intelligence into a unified operating picture – from UAS-generated geospatial video to map layers, ADS-B feeds, weather overlays, and user-generated data. My expertise not only lies in technological proficiency but also in transforming these sophisticated elements into valuable, actionable data for emergency response.
