Program Manager
Current- Conduct outreach through community events, coordinate staff and volunteers as appropriate for community events and attend as needed. - Develop and maintain systems for community training / event participation requests. - Build and maintain relationships with community members and organizations, connect community organizations and THA leaders to further the mission, vision, and goals of THA. - Ensure we are inclusive of community, that we are present and listening to community not ‘talking at’ community. - Report on measures and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of efforts of community engagement and meeting community needs, including community-based HIV/STI testing programs. - Utilize and promote infection control measures and universal precautions to maintain high quality of health and safety during outreach events. - Select and maintain qualified personnel in all positions who report directly to them. - Assure staff quality and performance results by coaching, counseling, mentoring, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job performance. - Foster a success-oriented and accountable environment within the organization. - Represent the organization at community functions and increase visibility of the organization within the communities it serves as directed. - Maintain an approach of cultural humility toward marginalized and underserved populations. - Assist in development and implementation of HIV Testing and Linkage to Care policy and procedures. - Connect and network with community partners to provide HIV testing events within high risk/highly affected communities. - Assist with monitoring programmatic grant requirements and progress. - Maintain certification as an HIV Test Counselor, and regularly provide testing. - Act as Site Supervisor for testing events on a regular basis.
