Since its founding in 1994, Mr. Lenard has served as one of twenty worldwide members and currently also is Vice President of the Swiss-based body that oversees and manages the international tribunal (CAS/TAS) that adjudicates Olympic and international sports disputes and, inter alia, he was the President of its Ad-hoc Divisions that sat in session during the 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games, FIFA 2014 World Cup in Brazil, 2014 Phuket Asian Beach Games, 2015 Asian Football Confederation Football Cup in Australia, 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, 2016 Asian Beach Games in Danang, 2017 Asian Winter Games in Sapporo, 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games and 2019 ANOC World Beach Games in Qatar.

He was a member of the firm's Executive Committee, active in each of the firm's funds, and a member of each of those funds' Investment Committees. For over five years he spent a substantial portion of his time in Hong Kong. Mr. Lenard has been and is a member of the Boards of Directors or management committees of numerous public and private companies in many different countries. Currently, he is, inter alia, Chairman of the Board of a public homebuilding company in Brasil.

Mr. Lenard has served in many senior positions in the United States Olympic Committee. In 2017 he received the USOC’s highest honor, the Olympic Torch Award.His USOC positions included being a member and then Vice Chairman of its Athletes’ Advisory Council, Vice President of the USOC, member of its Executive Committee, founder and head of its Athlete Performance Group (which included Coaching, Sports Science and Medicine, Athlete Identification, Athlete Support and Training Centers), Co-Director of the Home Team high performance funding program for the 1996 Olympic Team, Chair of the USOC’s Joint Marketing Committee, Chair of its Key Strategies Task Force, ex-officio member of its Ethics Committee, Special Advisor for Business Affairs to the USOC President and member of its Salt Lake City Games Integration Team. He served on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games (and as a member of its Audit and Ethics Committee), as well as on the Boards of Directors of the nascent US Olympic Hall of Fame in Olympia, Washington and the 1991 US Olympic Festival held in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Lenard was a member of the Olympic Overview Commission empanelled to study and to recommend a restructuring plan for the USOC following the Calgary Olympic Winter Games. He also was the liaison to the 1991 Independent Counsel ethics investigation of the USOC President and Executive Director, provided the USOC’s lead testimony in the 1994 Congressional Hearings into the USOC and, in 2003 in conjunction with the radical restructuring of the USOC, testified about the USOC’s cultural and structural problems to both the Independent Review Commission for the USOC, which was appointed by the U.S. Congress, and the USOC’s Governance and Ethics Task Force.

Among his other international and domestic competitive medals, he won seven National Championships (1975, 1977, 1979, 1980, 1982, 1987, 1995) and usually won bronze or silver medals in the intervening years, and he won three Gold (1979,1983,1986), two Silver (1978,1982) and one Bronze medal (1981) in the US Olympic Festival (nee National Sports Festival). In 1985 he was selected U.S. Team Handball Athlete of the Year and Olympian Magazine’s Team Handball SportsMan of the Year.
