Michael Lerner is a highly accomplished chief executive with over four decades of management and board level experience in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Michael began his career with TFM Industries, an apparel manufacturing company where he eventually rose to the position of President and CEO. Later Michael left that company to join Marisa Christina as a partner, with the title of Chairman of the Board, President and CEO. Michael successfully led the turnaround of Marisa Christina and eventually took the company public. In the years that followed, Marisa Christina Apparel became an international business, ranked sixth on Forbes magazine’s list of “Best Small Companies” and one of Fortune magazine’s “Fastest Growing Companies” with a wide range of consumer products and volume in excess of $100 million. Marisa owned such brands as Marisa Christina, Adrienne Vittadini and Flapdoodles. The company was sold in 2006 and Michael is a highly regarded business consultant working with Op-Links LLC. Recently he co founded and is presently a senior advisor and consultant to MOCA Ventures Inc., an independent specialized firm that develops, designs, engineers and procures high quality Italian kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, as well as home furnishings to the U.S. and other international markets. Throughout his career Michael has also served on many Boards, both corporate and non-profit. He is presently a Senior Advisor to Mercer Street Capital, an independent strategic advisory and investment firm with offices in New York City and Shanghai. He also serves as President of the Board of 515 Broadway Corporation. His prior board experience includes, among others: Waterworks, Apparel Ventures, Grooster Corp., EHS, Sagaponack Partners, a private equity firm, and Jana Partners, a multi-billion dollar activist fund.
