Acting as consultant for facility improvements in NESR locations in Saudi Arabia & Oman. Also assist in sourcing specialist service machinery as and when required. Located at my home in Portugal support as required on location or from home.

With the construction process of the Schlumberger Middle East Center of Reliability & Excellence nearing completion, I have been re-assigned to this position to co-ordinate and plan the relocation of existing facilities operating under the Drilling Group banner from the existing facilities in Dharhan & Udhailiyah. This has also included assisting the construction team to complete the premises with specific focus on the inspection and handover of the premises to operations.

Responsible for managing in country NDT inspection services for Arabian Drilling Company. Implementing changes to improve efficiencies and services to our client in a new market for Drilco.Compiling business case study for business expansion of drill pipe maintenance services and custom facility for a major local drilling company located in Saudi Arabia and other locations in the Middle East

Responsible for project planning, development & construction of operational support facilities for Schlumberger in continental Europe, Israel, Turkey & Morroco.Involved in sourcing of service providers and property in new start up locations. Provide support to Schlumberger business lines as an when required, particularly at the start up of high priority projectsProjects include- Construction of 55,000m2 OFS Base, Ploiesti, Romania. Worked closely with development team in the design and project management from drawing board to completion.- Refurbishment works of office and maintenance shop in Wolomin, Poland.- Construction and re-design of OFS base located in Larnaca, Cyprus. Worked with developer to rework what was to be a distribution warehouse into a fit for purpose maintenance facility.- Involved in design layouts and solutions for cost effective secondary containment solutions for MI LMP systems in the client ports located in Morocco, Turkey and Greece.Also had a one year temporary assignment between June 2013 - June 2014 on the back of sourcing and refurbishing a small facility located in Agadir, Morocco as OFS location manager supporting deepwater operations for Cairn Energy & Kosmos.

Management of international freight movements from/to the countries of Sub Sahara Africa. Directly liasing with freight service providers to provide best on time solutions for movement of oilfield equipment.

Review and feasibility study on construction of new river port and bulk plant facility for Balikpapan, Indonesia. Includes- review of available and suitable sites located in the Handil delta region- on paper design for a support facility for cementing bulking services- cost analysis related to construction of the facility- report on existing infrastructure and recommend safety and facility improvements

Schlumberger Newburn Base Build - Phases 1 and 2Prepares a Project Execution Plan (PEP) and oversees day-to-day management of construction budget, materials and personnel. Responsible for the Construction Life-Cycle Management Process (CLMP) for the Newburn Base build. The Newburn Base Phase 1 is designed to accommodate approximately 230 employees in the office and workshop space, which caters for Schlumberger daily Operations including tool maintenance and distribution, mobilization of tools to worksites (involves heavy vehicle transport). Phase 2 increases the size of the available workshop space and will accommodate an increased number of employees working at the facility. Phase 1 Building was opened by the Premier of Western Australia in October, 2008, and is fully commissioned.

Schlumberger Drilling and Measurements, Karratha, Western AustraliaManaged and supervised the preventative maintenance and repair of downhole direction drilling and formation evaluation tools and equipment, according to company standards, procedures, and practices. In conjunction with Maintenance staff, planned equipment requirements, defined technical problems or equipment design limitations and contributed to solutions. Provided quality and safety leadership for the R&M department to assure high quality service to the client.

Fully responsible for the management of one of Drilling & Measurements largest and busiest operations in South America. With in excess of 50 staff and generated annual revenue exceeding $70M, responsibilities included:Day-to-day planning of equipment maintenanceOn time planning for equipment supply to clientsManagement of personnel & assets to best accomplish the strategic operational requirements for Schlumberger.Fully responsible for financial management to ensure the fleet of equipment is fully operational and ready.Liaise with third party contractors to guarantee equipment is delivered in a timely manner to meet the needs of the location.Leading and driving Schlumberger' QHSE program & commitment within the facility.Instrumental in the control and follow up on all QHSE related issues.

Schlumberger Oilfield Services New Base Facility, Baku, AzerbaijanFull responsibility on design acceptance and coordination for a new Schlumberger facility constructed in Azerbaijan. Project value of $4.6M facility to be completed April 2005, with responsibilities assigned as follows:Sourcing of main contractor.Negotiating with main contractor and design architects on all aspects of design & build.Liaising with main contractor on all QHSE issues.On site management with sub-contract engineering representatives on all aspects of design, build & quality control.Continuous assessment and control of the contractor(s) throughout the project.Final pre-delivery inspection of the site.In addition the following related responsibilities were assigned:Sourcing & procurement of all additional heavy plant equipment required for the project with total package requirement exceeding $1M.Purchasing, transportation, assembly, installation and commissioning of all overhead crane and heavy plant equipment.Advising and supervision the main contractor to familiarise and provision for specialist and specific units to Schlumberger' International Standards (i.e. DGM store, specialist test bays, etc)Co-ordination and managing the safe, efficient movements from Schlumberger' operations base to the new facility on completion.

Instrumental to the initial set up of the maintenance support facilities for Schlumberger within the countries of the C.I.S, in particular Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Full responsibilities for the managing and day-to-day operations to the support facilities with 16 functionally direct reports and a full staff of 60 indirect reports. Further responsibilities and experience include: Intimate knowledge & experience covering all aspects of repair & preventative maintenance to Schlumberger range of drilling equipment; Powerpak Hydraulic Drilling Motors, Measurement While Drilling, Logging While Drilling down-hole logging equipment, IDEAL computer logging & instrumentation systems, all types of heavy directional drilling equipment. This includes a vast array of precision, high cost hydraulic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment used to enhance the drilling process.Responsible for hiring and training of local personnel in all aspects of repair and technical maintenance of Schlumberger drilling services products.Organising procurement, logistics and movements of equipment throughout the CIS and Europe.Innovative proposals for modifications to a wide range of Schlumberger' drilling services equipment, improving the reliability and efficiency of the equipment.Leading and driving Schlumberger' QHSE program at the maintenance facility by use of Schlumberger internal Web based reporting data system, regular chairing of safety meetings and training sessions.Management of monthly budgets related to maintenance and running of the Schlumberger support facility.Control of monthly reporting systems relating to QHSE, Technical & Budget constraints

Instrumental to the initial set up of the maintenance support facilities for Schlumberger Drilling & Measurements in Vechta, Germany. Full responsibilities for the managing and day-to-day operations of the support facility with 10 functionally direct reports. Further responsibilities and experience include:Fully responsible for all aspects of Schlumberger Drilling & Measurements range of drilling equipment, including repair and maintenance.Responsible for hiring and training of local technical support personnel.Organising procurement, logistics and movements of equipment throughout Germany and mainland Europe.

Complete sales coordinator on behalf of Schlumberger Drilling & Measurements, Houston, to implement and establish a maintenance facility for the client, Gazprom. Activities Included;Full support and maintenance of Measurement While Drilling & drilling equipment sold.Responsible for a team of 4 ex-patriot personnel assigned for sales support.Technical training of local clients personnel.Overall project coordinator and liaison assigned to support Schlumberger' sale of equipment to Gazprom, Russia.Sourcing, purchasing and design all inventory items relevant to the contract.Setting up an inventory database and storage facility, for all items being supplied.Supervising of pre-delivery inspection of equipment and spares.

Fully responsible for all aspects of repair and maintenance to Schlumberger Drilling & Measurements MWD equipment: Implementation of training programs for local technicians to Anadrill standards.Second engineer working offshore running and operating directional survey equipment as required.

Instrumental in establishing the maintenance support facility for Schlumberger Drilling & Measurements in Cabinda: Responsible for repair & maintenance of Slim 1 tool assemblies.

Full responsibilities included all aspects of establishing a technician training school in Aberdeen:Instructor in maintenance principles for mechanical & electronic components of Schlumberger Drilling & Measurements MWD equipment.Also traveled to various overseas locations to instruct technicians in latest modifications and reliability improvements.

Responsible for all aspects of maintenance of MWD electronics, including failure diagnosis, reporting and reliability improvements.Instrumental in numerous design changes and improvement in maintenance procedures to enhance tool reliability in harsh drilling environments.

Responsible for maintenance and installation of all Schlumberger Drilling & Measurements computer based mud logging monitoring systems. Worked extensively on offshore locations in the North Sea (Norway, Holland, UK), carrying out installations to the then current Department of Energy and Det Norske Veritas regulations. Also worked on a project liaising with a drilling contractor (Reading & Bates) on a project involving installation of mud logging systems based at the drilling rig manufacturer's ship yard in Pusan, Korea. Follow up while rig on tow from Korea to N.Sea, boarding off Malta then on tow with rig through to N.Sea. Duration 8 weeks.

Production bench technician.Fault finding to component level on multi array sonar and torpedo guidance & launch systems.Function testing & failure diagnosis of ship-borne torpedo launch systems.

Completed a four year technicians apprentice course, with main focus on:Ship to shore radio systems and satellite navigation systems.
