Responsible for the design and complete system integration of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test platforms for vehicle motor control units. The HIL platforms primary purpose is validating system level powertrain functions of an electric drive unit as well as performing fault injection and diagnostic testing. I am also responsible for V&V activities of all the core functions and freatures of the motor controller.

As a controller integration engineer, my mission was to provide system level expertise to verify controller functionality (such as CAN, HWIO, transmission, hybrid functions) and to troubleshoot vehicle integration issues and recommend solutions. Some of my key work responsibilities include:- Working with technical review boards to define the HWIO and key-behavioral test cases (KBTs) of controllers and to determine how frequently they should be executed. - Automate system level test cases to allow for automated regression testing for portions of milestone tests. - Create and support the creation of test scripts with Python, and INCA software development tools. - Document hardware or software anomalies. - Document algorithm functional requirements.

Served as lead system engineer for capacitive based gesture recognition system currently in production for North American based OEM. Also served as lead the test/validation engineer during product development phase and aided in increasing the overall system robustness through system level testing on vehicles and multiple DFSS projects. I was also responsible for testing and verification of the embedded algorithm and its calibration for the current and future vehicle lines. I served as the lead interaction with the customer on all system related matters and was responsible for ensuring customer needs and specifications/requirements were met. My other responsibilities included the development of test fixtures, integration testing, verification/validation testing of system & software releases, completion of DV/PV reports and creating release notes.In my most recent project I served as the lead system engineer for a tailgate door control module. In addition to defining the functional objectives/requirements with the customer, I aided in the design of the overall internal system architecture and LIN slave communication architecture. I interface with our multidisciplinary hardware, software and EMC groups to define test specifications, develop test plans with SWIL and HIL testing strategies and execute those test plans in a lab setting. Served as the lead liaison with the customer/OEM design release engineer and responsible for presenting test reports and quality documentation.

I managed and drove the implementation of a Microsoft Silverlight based product resolution platform for corrective actions on quality issues.

I was responsible for reviewing thermodynamic equations describing the operation of a conceptual hydrogen production system and ensuring the system was feasible from a physics standpoint. Researched viable energy generation concepts for a ‘Microgrid’ distributed power generation system which operated on concentrated solar power and incorporated solid oxide fuel cells. Presented these options to a steering committee to secure funding for prototype system development.
