Led a team that supported the modernization of a capability to link data about de-identified individuals regardless of the reporting organization or reporting period. Results included documentation of the current system's capabilities and deficiencies and the identification of two alternative privacy-preserving methods that would address current system deficiencies.

Using Apache NiFi to implement an automated pipeline for data retrieval and processing, Elasticsearch for persisting descriptive metadata, and Kibana for implementing a variety of customized visualizations and dashboards that enable analysis of data set metadata and monitoring the health and status of the processing pipeline.

- Adviser to Remote Sensing Lab Director on emerging technologies such as cloud computing, containerization, infrastructure as code, and DevOps.- Member of working group engaged with acquisition of next generation mission data processing system for overhead persistent infrared data.- Contributed to the development of a data model for representing information associated with artificial satellites and space debris in Earth orbit.- Led the design and development of an open source software test harness that enabled the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology and healthcare providers to compare the results of different patient matching algorithms on their own data sets. The harness leverages the use of the HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resourcea (FHIR) structures and REST.- Led team involved with the design and development of a software prototype that explored the functional capability required in a system that could facilitate the management of personnel recovery incidents.

- Introduced and oversee a practice of risk assessments conducted on software prototype development efforts prior to their delivery to the customer. - Designed and developed a GUI for a distributed storage network provisioning and management application. Primary areas of responsibility included status monitoring views and software update management wizards. = Designed and implemented a servlet framework for handling client data requests. Designed and developed action classes that fit within this framework. Typically, the action classes processed the requests by using JDBC to perform relational database operations.- Designed and implemented the schema for the relational database used in the Storigen product. The database consists of about 65 tables. Developed a façade that simplified database connection handling and database access. Mentored team members on JDBC and SQL for database access.
