I am an experienced, creative, and driven patent professional, having led successful IP strategies and teams in Vaccine, Biopharmaceutical, and Consumer Healthcare businesses, with an appreciation of the diverse nature of how IP provides optimal value to each of these different types of business.With over 20 years since becoming a UK and European patent attorney, I have a track record of building successful, high-performing, global IP teams, and delivering results to achieve business objectives (offensively and defensively), for instance in maximising the value of a patent portfolio or through conducting inter partes proceedings at the EPO or national litigations. I enjoy communicating with business leaders and bringing an organisation with me in taking proactive and pragmatic action.Supplementary Protection Certificate law is a particular interest of mine, having been involved with the Forsgren C-631/13 CJEU case. I have also been interested of late in developing positions relating to European IP policy.
