Micheal is an experienced sports professional having spent over 20 years in the National Rugby League as a player and administrator. Currently the General Manager of Football for the North Queensland Cowboys, Micheal oversees the Football Department with a staff of over 30 and a group of over 100 contracted players, in all functions from player recruitment, contracting, NRL and NRLW team operations, to pathways development and salary cap compliance.Educated in Australia and New Zealand with a strong focus on top line strategic management and governance, Micheal received First Class Honours in his Master of Business and upon returning to the Cowboys after his playing career, moved into various roles before being appointed as the Clubs Chief Operating Officer with oversight of the club’s football, commercial, membership and brand departments, prior to his appointment as General Manager of Football.
