• Planned, recruited and developed the Finance team in Singapore, consisting of 10+ team members with Oracle experience and experience working in multinational corporations.• Transitioned finance functions from the US to Singapore, including AR, AP, Cost Accounting, Revenue Accounting. The transition was completed in three months from January – March 2008. The team achieved final financial statement and Sarbanes Oxley audit results for June 2008 fiscal year end with no material audit adjustments or material weaknesses.

• Provided support to the Automotive, Floorcovering, and Specialty Chemical divisions as an advisor on international business issues such as customs/duties, indirect taxes, debt vs. equity financing, licensing of technology, managing foreign currency risk, and other topics. This required close coordination with our Global Treasury and Corporate Governance areas.• Worked with the VP of Tax to secure a multi-million dollar tax deduction related to timing of foreign currency loss recognition by applying Section 987 and partnership concepts to our fact pattern. Skills necessitated by this project ranged from formulating strategy to managing the tax controversy through the IRS’ fast track program to the detailed analytical and computational efforts expended to quantify our position.
