I am a Senior Project Engineer with over 11 years of experience in the construction industry specializing in mid-rise concrete and steel buildings. I am currently working as a Senior Project Engineer for Martin/ Martin Professional Engineers helping lead their sustainability initiatives and designing projects within their commercial projects team.I am motivated to get more structural engineers involved in making a difference in the embodied carbon of their projects and the built environment. Specifically, I see opportunity for the industry to develop embodied carbon as a design constraint. In support of this, I have developed strong knowledge of the embodied carbon impacts and reduction strategies for concrete and steel materials and am trained in completing Life Cycle Assessments. I am currently an active member of the ASCE SEI Sustainable Design Committee, ACI 130 Sustainability of Concrete, NCSEA Sustainable Design Committee, Carbon Leadership Forum Rocky Mountain Hub and serve as the Vice Chair for the SEAC Sustainable Design Committee.In my free time you'll likely find me outside, on my snowboard, mountain bike or hitting the trail on a hike.
