Currently I am the Controller for Golden State Medical Supply, Inc in Camarillo, CA. We are a generic Pharmaceutical Manufacturer providing unique packaging solutions to the Veteran's Administration and Department of Defense.My time at GSMS has been focused on financial reporting for Month, Quarter, and Annual financials to the company's Board of Directors. My other responsibilities included overseeing the day to day of the Accounting Department with the Assistant Controller, managing the company's daily cash status and forecasting, managing payroll and employee time sheets, and reporting to the CFO. I have recently received my CPA license (non-attest) for the State of California. I started my supervisory experience as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from December 2001 to May 2009 for Weapons Company 2nd Battalion 23rd Marines.When I am not at work, I enjoy training for mud runs specifically the Tough Mudder course and spending time with my family and my three dogs. I have completed my goal of finishing 10 full Tough Mudders. I am an avid football fan and a die hard Chicago Bears fan. My goal is to see a live game at Soldier Field in Chicago against the Green Bay Packers with my friends. I am currently volunteering with a Pit Bill rescue group called All For Love Animal Rescue. I have owned Pit Bulls for the last 14 years and I do not think I could ever switch to a different breed of dog and I try to spread knowledge about this misunderstood breed whenever I get a chance.
