Michael McDonnell qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1989 and was a partner for many years in BDO, a leading global professional services firm. He has worked in leadership roles within both the private and not-for-profit sectors across the British Isles and internationally, including time with PA Consulting Group and G4S plc. He joined the Choice Group in January 2016 having been Chief Executive of Helm Housing Association. Michael has a First Class Honours degree in Accounting & Financial Analysis from the University of Warwick, and a post-graduate Diploma from Queen’s University, Belfast. He has attended a number of leading business schools across Europe and North America including Harvard, INSEAD, London Business School and Center for Creative Leadership. He was a member for several years of the UK Council for CCL.Michael is a Fellow of both Chartered Accountants Ireland and the Chartered Institute of Housing.
