During my time at TTP I was involved in several projects with my main focus being the development and use of a ultrashort pulse laser system. I was a Manufacturing Engineering intern within Rolls Royce Submarines with the core assembly team. This involved producing a technical package for a FAIR, including creating technical instructions lifting plans, and gathering of resources. This enabled me to gain an overview of the manufacturing process and suggest areas of improvement. I also had to do a lot of technical writing, held to the highest standards of the nuclear industry.I was also involved with software validation and creation, mostly using VBA on the back of Microsoft Excel. The use of this software covered a range of areas including form protection, data entry, and analysis.

During my time with DTUS I have undergone a range of activities including exercises, AT and Military writing.The exercises have involved both physical and engineering tasks (including building a hospital) in the field in which I have have held various positions of leadership.For AT I was the head of sub aqua, which included detailed planning and risk assessments, along with communicating with various parties.

Member of the Diving Staff.My primary role was as a member of general staff and this would include task such as operating the compressor, manning the stores and looking after the kit at the centre.I was also employed as an instructor and support diver which would range from giving lectures, providing safety cover, to teaching people in the water.

After completing my divemaster course I continued to work at the centre. During this time I worked on both on the front desk and as a guide in the water.On the front desk I would have regular contact with the public meaning that I had to have good communication skills in order to attract customers.For the diving I would often be taking people for the first time in the water meaning that I had to be reassuring and enthusiastic to ensure that they were comfortable and would want to dive again.
