I work as a engineer in training on design and construction oversight on water projects throughout the Greater Victoria Area (Sanitary, Drinking, and Storm). I perform construction bid and contract reviews, construction coordination, sampling, and more within Victoria. I also help in project management and coordination roles for AECOM/Metro Van projects

I was an assistant Resident Engineer for the Construction of a greenfield's 108 MLD tertiary wastewater treatment plant in Victoria, BC (McLoughlin Point WWTP). I was on the consulting side of a design build JV with Graham Contraction. While on site, after my coop was extended into permanent employment, I continued many of the roles that I was a part of before:• Coordinated, attended, and recorded over 400 training hours for the JV and Client staff comprised of over 50 sessions and 20 vendors across the world during a pandemic.• Directly coordinated the completion of construction 100 RFIs and 20 SIs and tracked over 1200 and 120 respectively and over 900 shop drawings by the project’s completion.• Reviewed training, maintenance, O&M submissions to be included in the plant’s training sessions and its Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).• Was the team lead member in regular client training and CMMS update meetings.• Coded an automatic program to export weekly commissioning maintenance tasks. • Performed weekly interdisciplinary site construction reviews on site.

While being an intern on site, I: • Handled over 800 shop drawing reviews as well as performed preliminary reviews and managed multi-disciplinary engineering and architecture teams to reach delivery dates on drawings.• Managed weekly internal RFI and shop drawing logs, monthly client change logs.• Performed RFI and SI redlines to IFC drawings and the Project Agreements • Developed the Computerized Maintenance Management System used by the JV and client for over 2300 asset line items, 2000 preventive maintenance tasks and was the primary client contact for Asset Management questions and lead the JV CMMS team.• Partially oversaw the construction and quality of the largest HDPE outfall pipe in North America. • Continued to work during the final semester to aid in commissioning preparations.

While at the AAFC Research Farm in Indian Head, I was an Agronomy Research Assistant working under Bill May. During my 8 months at the farm, I was involved in agronomy research planning, development, and execution. I managed 5 of 20 agricultural research trials, lead the facilities composting program, and tasked with analyzing and writing a 24 site-year scientific paper from scratch.• Managed and researched crop rotation, weed impact, and new crop trials.• Took over the on-site composting program from previous students. Reducing the compost turnover rate from 6 years to 1.5 years.• Worked with Engineers and field specialists while working with the compost and designed a theoretical catchment for the compost using IDF curves and runoff hydrology to prevent nutrient pollution to the nearby stream• Developed multiple new procedure guidelines, and an extensive variable guide for the whole site that was installed in the facility’s protocol book.

For the month of May, the mine was closed. I had spent the first month in the Mississauga office helping with estimating project bids and developing plans for the Major Port Hope Project. I heavily assisted developing a bid for The Oshawa Marina Development projectIn Ruttan Mine I was the acting Project Coordinator managing the costs of the project with daily, weekly, and monthly duties working a 21-day on 7-day off rotation. The non-PC duties I picked up were aided with surveying, controling traffic, and maintaining the machines. The Ruttan mine project is still on-going.
