I have worked in clean energy and sustainability for nearly 15 years, both domestically and internationally. My strengths include systems work that encompasses technoeconomics, socioeconomics, policy, the environment, and ethics for appropriate technology design with the potential to scale sustainably. My technical experience spans fundamental research at the atomic level to life cycle assessment and applied engineering in solar, battery, fuel cell, and agriculture technologies. CurrentAs part of the carbon neutral strategy program, I lead efforts in energy systems analysis to figure out the right problems to work on to meet Toyota's carbon neutral goals. - A founding student of the William Chueh research group, which focuses on energy conversion and storage.- Discovered a major mechanism of fuel cell/electrolyzer degradation and engineered stabilizing surface coatings for drop-in commercial application.- Constructed elevated-temperature electrochemistry testing station and co-developed in-situ, environmental SEM.- Lab Manager of Chueh Lab (‘15-16): Based on 1-on-1 conversations with entire 25-member group, organized working sub-groups, mediated lab dynamics and vendor negotiations; initiated and organized professional development sessions.- Co-designed and implemented graduate course on advanced batteries; designed final student projects that have led to student patent applications.
