I work for The Office of the Public Guardian Scotland a division of the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service.My responsibilities focus currently around data analysis and data entry in conjunction with an accurate and concise knowledge and understand of the Adults with Incapacity act 2000 (Scotland). I provide a proof reading service ensuring that legally binding applications meet the requirements of the aforementioned act of law. And in so doing registering said applications onto a Public Database should they be deemed compliant. I am a point of contact for the wider court service , solicitors , institutions who come into contact with the aforementioned legal documents and most importantly the general public. Providing assistance with submission of applications both general and specific enquires by phone, email and face to face.In addition to this I perform an investigatory role specifically where referrals are made of potential financial misapropriation in respect to a vunerable adult. My job is to on a case by case basis review these referrals providing I am supplied with tangible evidence of this moving under very tight timescales to build an accurate picture and where deemed appropriate taking steps to ensure that the adult who has been taken advantage of is safeguarded and to raise this issue with the correct authorities to pursue the subject of the referral Dependant on the particulars of each individual case.
