Working with foundation leaders and principal gifts development team, university leaders and faculty champions, led the writing/design of proposals, vision-setting documents, white papers, presentations and other print materials used in solicitation and stewardship of OHSU's highest-capacity donors. Notable achievements including researching and developing donor-facing materials for the largest monetary gifts in OHSU's history, including the initial $500 million challenge pledge from Phil and Penny Knight that catalyzed more than $1 billion in cumulative support for cancer research at OHSU; a prior $100 million gift from the Knights that established and named OHSU's cancer institute in their honor; a $125 million Knight gift establishing an institute of cardiovascular medicine; a $100 million bequest for cancer research ultimately fulfilled during the donor's lifetime; $25 million proposals to establish new research centers for developmental health and pancreatic disease; and a $20 million fund promoting basic science innovation university-wide. Other duties include campaign communications planning, feature writing for quarterly donor-focused magazine, fund-raising collateral development, donor stewardship materials, executive speeches and talking points, internal communications, annual reports, and other print and electronic advancement materials.
