• Responsible for all Comms Rooms (14) & Computer Rooms (2). This includes all environmental factors such as power, cooling, fire suppression etc. • Evaluation of new products and performing proof of concept testing.• Numerous Data Migrations ranging from Oracle Databases to File Server & application migrations.• Setup, support and configuration of Computer Infrastructure including Network, SAN, Brocade and Servers.• Responsible for the setup and support of Vmware vSphere, 3.5, 4.0, 5.5• Manage support to over 1400 users, 1200 PC’s, 180 Laptops and 70 Servers.• Liaise with vendors on technical projects, installations and error resolution • Liaise with the Infrastructure Teams in the other Production plants and offices globally as part of the European Network Team.• Responsibility for all Backup, Restore & Disaster Recovery.• Responsibility for all Mobile Computing and Devices. Support to over 100 + users.• Technical Lead on all IT Infrastructure expansion activities and projects – Waterford plant has expanded to half a million square feet. • Manage, update and report status of projects using established control documents.• Introduction of new Manufacturing platforms – Standalone to new Rack mounted systems.• As part of a team, successfully kept system uptime to 100% while 4 major building expansions took place.• Domain Enhancements – DHCP Expansions, IP Consolidation.• Introduction and sourcing of new tools, applications & technologies.• Ensure key project milestones are established and achieved.• Review contracts for external services & support.• Management of multiple external leased lines.• Write, Review and Approve Official Documents such as SOP’s Work Instructions and make sure that all are fully up to date and Compliant with Company policies & procedures.
