About Michael Maier

I believe in connecting, developing, and inspiring impactful leaders. As Associate Dean for Master's and Executive Programs, I have responsibility for all Master's programs in the Alberta School of Business as well as Executive Education. I also serve as the Academic Director for the Edmonton cohort of the ICD Director's Education Program offered in conjunction with the Rotman School of Management.I am a CPA and hold the ICD.D designation. I am also the Finance Committee Chair for the MBA Roundtable Board of Directors. My research interests include financial accounting, cryptocurrency, market microstructure, experimental economics, and online field studies.I teach primarily Financial Accounting, but have also taught managerial accounting, auditing and bargaining and negotiations. I have also served as an expert witness on accounting matters and serve on the board of the MBA Roundtable.
