As the founder and former CEO of Healthcare Parking Systems of America, Inc. Mr. Malatin developed the nation’s largest parking management company dedicated strictly to hospitals and health centers. His idea was simple: provide a crisp image that hospitals would want at their front door, boast to them his undying dedication to only their industry, and promise legendary service that would have patients feel as though they were at a five star hotel.Mr. Malatin’s vision single-handedly transformed the hospital parking landscape from an unsophisticated platform focused solely on the cars parked, to a highly important touch point to enhance patient satisfaction. In 2007, Mr. Malatin sold the company to ABM Industries (NYSE: ABM). He had taken HPSA to 280 hospitals in 33 states with over 5,000 employees coast to coast and revenues in excess of $88M. Mr. Malatin remained President of HPSA, a subsidiary of Ampco System Parking, until his departure in 2011.
